Terms & Conditions and Site Rules

Please read the following information before your stay at Hollingworth Lake Caravan Park. These terms and site rules are in place to help keep the park safe, respectful and enjoyable for all guests.

Terms & Conditions

Payment
All fees are to be paid in full by cash on arrival.

Refund Policy
No refunds are given for unused nights or early departures. Please consider taking out travel insurance. to mitigate this eventuality.


Check-in and Departure
Check-in is from 2pm until 8pm, unless agreed by prior arrangement.
We respectfully ask all guests to leave the site by 12 noon on the day of departure, leaving their pitch as they would hope to find it.


Tents
Tents are charged at the touring caravan rate.
The maximum tent size is 6 man.

Small backpacker tents are charged at:

  • £15.00 on foot or by bike
  • £17.50 with a car

 

Additional Guests
Extra people are charged at £2.50 per person, per night.
No more than 6 people are permitted in one unit, including caravans, motorhomes, campervans or tents.


Motorhomes Over 8 Metres
For motorhomes over 8 metres, please ask for the tariff before booking or arrival.


Visitors
Visitors are allowed by prior arrangement only and at the management’s discretion.

All visitors must:

  • Sign in at reception
  • Leave their vehicle registration number
  • Pay the relevant visitor fee at reception
  • Keep visitor cars in the car park at all times

Visitor hours are 10am – 8pm.

Day visitor charges are:

  • £4 per adult
  • £3 per child
  • £3 per car
  • £15 per family group

A family group is a maximum of 2 adults, 3 children and 1 car.
A maximum of one family may visit per pitch. Please book visitors at reception before they arrive.
Visitor cars may need to park in the overflow car park.


Under 18s
Under 18s are permitted by prior arrangement only.


Management Rights
We reserve the right to restrict vehicle access to grassed areas in worsening ground conditions.

Site Rules

Speed Limit
The site speed limit is strictly 5mph maximum.


Vehicles
Commercial vehicles are not permitted.
Electric scooters are not permitted.
Vehicles must not be started or moved between 10pm and 7am, unless in an emergency


Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles must not be charged on site.
The nearest charging station is Morrisons, Kingsway, Rochdale.


Behaviour
All guests are expected to behave appropriately and respectfully towards other guests, visitors and members of staff.

If we feel your behaviour is in any way illegal, offensive, violent, disruptive or inappropriate, you will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given.

You will also be responsible for any damage or breakages caused to the site during your stay.

Quiet Site
Please keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 7am.
Guests who do not respect the quiet hours may be asked to leave.

Dogs
One dog is included per pitch.
Additional dogs are charged at £2 per dog.

Dogs must be:

  • Well behaved
  • Supervised by an adult
  • Kept on a strong, short lead or tether
  • Not allowed to roam freely


Long lines are not allowed.
All dog mess must be cleared up immediately and disposed of responsibly.

Barbecues
Barbecues are allowed, but they must be raised well off the ground and must not burn the grass.
Charcoal and gas barbecues are permitted for cooking only.

Fires, Fire Pits and Wood Burning
The following are not permitted anywhere on site:

  • Fires
  • Fire pits
  • Wood burning
  • Barbecue buckets
  • Barbecue briquettes used as fire pits or for open burning



Children
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, including when using the toilet facilities.
Climbing on fences, gates, walls or farm equipment is not permitted.
Paddling pools, water bombs and similar items are not permitted.


Drinking Water
Stand pipes are for drinking water only.


Waste and Bins
Please place all waste in the bins provided.

We do not accept broken camping or caravanning equipment, including:

  • Broken tents
  • Chairs
  • Air beds
  • Barbecues
  • Other unwanted camping equipment

 

Washing and Waterproofing
The following are not permitted on site:

  • Washing caravans
  • Washing motorhomes
  • Washing tents
  • Tent waterproofing
